(i.e - "omg wtf racist he said black!! or omg wtf racist he said white!!") This is not in intended to be offensive

If you emphasis / view yourself more with one race, ethnicity more than the other? And also what if they do, but going by how they feel about their appearances ? (i.e light skin, tan, white, black, brown etc.)

Like lets eee some examples..

lets take a:

german / polish / sweden / irish guy. Lets say he's have more / emphasis german more than the other?

or

white / black,  appearance wise turning more white but emphasis viewed himself/herself more as black? Specifically with African culture, not what you may assume a "wigger"

or how about some southeast asian race mixed with black, appearance wise on the outside is tan skinned (not too dark like orange light) and emphasis more on his/her southeast asian culture than his/her african roots?

etc...

Yeah hopefully you get the gist of it. Just some examples of what im trying to say. So do you think its wrong if a person does that? If mixed with mexican and german / irish / etc. and turns out resembling mexican more, and embraces that culture more than the other?

these days people don't even have to be part of the race to embrace the culture. like i have a friend who is from trinidad and is undisputably black, but he's an honorary klan member.

I am mixed latino/asain/white.

The answer is" it depends who I am with and what else is going on".

At school I get more emphasis on my latino heritage (partly because most of my classmates are latinos , partly bec I look more latino)

In the street I am considered a cholo. I get insulted in spanish, in english in whatever langauge bec Im mixed and I live in a bad hood filled with gangbangers.

At home I really don't feel any pull either way. I feel like myself and I don't even think about my race.

When I visit my asian family I get more the asian emphasis.

When there is a celtic fest or St Patrick day I feel totally irish!

So it really depends on the mood. But I never feel divided or confused. I am prety happy I am different and I got lots of heritages to play with and be happy about.

I dont think its wrong if they identify more with one of their cultures rather than all. Maybe they were raised that way...they may not be ashamed though. Ya know.
